THS presents ‘Vegetable Gardening 101’

“Vegetable Gardening 101” will be the featured program at the monthly meeting of the Trevose Horticultural Society on Tuesday, May 21st, 7:00pm at the Bensalem Senior Center, 1850 Byberry Road, Bensalem.

Join Master Gardener Annie Milionis as she provides essential information on how to grow your own vegetables at home!

She will explain the necessary steps you need to consider, such as: choosing a site, soil testing and Ph, nutrients and amendments, types of gardening – in ground, raised beds or containers, maximizing the growing seasons, crop rotation and more!

Originally from Pike County, PA, Annie grew up on the family homestead and farm that dates to 1851. She attended Wilkes College (now University) for biology with a minor in philosophy.

A resident of Lower Bucks for 30 plus years, she is currently employed as a professional gardener. She can be found gardening as a volunteer in many places around Lower Bucks County as well.

All meetings are open to the public; a donation of $5 is requested from non-members. For further information, please contact 856/866-9163, visit www.trevosegardeners.org or follow them on Facebook.
