Feasterville Rotary honors Olivia Garland

Olivia Garland was recognized as February’s Student of the Month by the Feasterville Rotary Club at its meeting on February 9th at Erwin’s Country Kitchen.

Olivia resides in Trevose with her parents, Angela and Joseph Garland, and has an older brother, Trevor. She has attended Neshaminy schools for the past five years, carries a 4.2 GPA, and is ranked #53 in her class of 618.

Her senior courses include AP Calculus, AP English 12, AP Psychology, Honors Physics 2, Select Choir, Drama/Roadies, and P.E.  Olivia is a member of National Honor Society and her name consistently appears on the Distinguished Honor Roll.

She’s a cast member in school musicals and recently starred as Marian in Neshaminy High School’s production of “The Music Man.” She is also president of Choir, treasurer of Drama, and was awarded Best Supporting Actress with a Superior Thespy ranking.

Olivia volunteers for National Honor Society events, acts as usher at Freshman Orientation, helps with plays backstage, dances at nursing homes, and has sung the National Anthem at many events.

She loves singing, acting, dancing, songwriting, and playing piano and ukulele. She has held a part-time job as a Sesame Place performer.

After high school, Olivia would like to become a vocal performer and recording artist, or otherwise be a part of the music industry. High on her list of undergraduate schools are Berklee College of Music and Belmont University.
