New Hope – Solebury & Lambertville Community Choir is recruiting

Following a little time off for the summer, the New Hope – Solebury & Lambertville Community Choir resumes Tuesday evening rehearsals on September 5th, at 7:00pm. The choir continues to grow the membership, and invites singers and would-be singers of all shapes, sizes, voice parts and musical persuasions to join the group.

NHSLCC is made up of members of the immediate New Hope, Solebury, and Lambertville community as well as several singing residents from the surrounding area. Group members’ musical skill sets vary from beginner to somewhat accomplished.

There is no audition to join – all are welcome and a joyful noise is made by the combined group.

Notes conductor, singer, instructor, and New Hope resident Rick Rosen, “We’re building a really wonderful community here with members coming from all walks of life. We know that everyone’s time is valuable, and so we do things a little differently at the community choir – we’ve divided the upcoming season into multiple segments, focusing on a very finite number of pieces, with an instructional clinic, several rehearsals, and a mini-concert for each session. Depending on how much time you can commit, you can join the group for the full season, per semester, or one segment at a time.”

The upcoming season – NHSLCC’s 11th – will include music from Orff, Puccini, Buddy Holly, Haydn, Curtis Mayfield, Handel, Pete Seeger, and more. Rehearsals and free mini-concert performances are held on Tuesday evenings at Trinity Episcopal Church, 6587 Upper York Road in Solebury.
