21st Annual LGBTQ+ Pride kicks off May 11th

Get ready to ROAR with New Hope Celebrates (NHC) for its 21st Annual LGBTQ+ Pride, a week of events taking place May 11th – 19th in New Hope and Lambertville, NJ.

This year’s PrideFest theme is “Hear Us Roar,” emphasizing the need to amplify and elevate LGBTQ+ voices now more than ever. On May 11th at 11:30am, NHC will kick off the week with the unfurling of their 25’x15’ Progress Pride Flag over the Starbucks building at 4A E. Bridge Street in New Hope.

A reception will be held immediately following at Martine’s RiverHouse, and an Opening Weekend Pride Tea will be later that day at 4:00pm at The Cub Room. The Pride Parade will take place on May 18th at 11:00am.

It is the only Pride to cross state lines, starting in New Jersey and proceeding across the Delaware River into Pennsylvania. There will be over 1,500 participants from local businesses, nonprofits, national marching bands and floats, plus NHC’s 100-foot Rainbow Equality Flag, donated by the Logan Inn, part of Landmark Hospitality.

After the parade, the PrideFest Fair will take place at Pride Park on the corner of New Street and South Main Street. It will highlight local LGBTQ+ artists, food vendors, nonprofits, professional services, and retailers. PrideFest Live!, an outdoor concert, will run from noon to 5:00pm.

There will be additional events – such as a Pride Movie Day at ACME Screening Room, Happy Hour at Odd Bird Brewing, Pride Bingo at HollyHedge Estate, the Love is Love Gala sponsored by River House at Odette’s, Friday Night PrideFest Weekend Kickoff at The Playhouse Barn, Sunday Pride Closing Tea Dance & Pool Party at New Hope Inn & Suites, and more throughout the month.
