‘Ready, Set, Library’ – National Library Week at Free Library of Northampton Township

Get ready, get set, and visit Free Library of Northampton Township to celebrate National Library week (April 7th-April 13th) with great programs all month!

On Monday, April 1st, join John Vick, President of the Andalusia Historic House, Gardens and Arboretum for an informative presentation about the Biddle Family of Philadelphia. Learn the history and legacy of the Biddle family, their grand estate, the gorgeous gardens. Registration is required.   

What is it about Bucks County? The “greats” of the Golden Era of Song – Oscar Hammerstein II, Moss Hart, George Kaufman and Stephen Sondheim – have Bucks County links.

On Saturday, April 13th at 1:00pm, Fred Miller returns with his Lecture-in-Song entitled “The Bucks / Broadway Connection.”   Commissioned by the Bucks County Historical Society to illustrate the great contributions of Bucks County’s musical artists, Fred created a tour-de-force musical program illustrating just what the connection is. Registration is required. 

Ready, Set, Kindle users – Libby is back!

The library has joined with seven other Bucks County community libraries to form Community Library e-Cooperative (CLE) of Bucks County. This consortium is purchasing Kindle formatted e-books which can be downloaded with the Libby app.

You must be a Northampton Township resident to participate through our library.  Celebrate our planet on Earth Day, April 22nd with an Earth Day Family Storytime at 10:30am.

Learn how to take care of the planet through stories, songs and games. No registration is required. 

Who does not like bubble wrap?

Then, kids, try your hand at Bubble Wrap Painting in April’s Art Lab on Monday, April 22nd at 4:30pm.

Learn how to make colorful and interesting creations based on paint and the roundness of bubble wrap.
