SPOTLIGHT: Tyler Park Center for the Arts

Bucks County is alive with the beauty of spring, and Tyler Park Center for the Arts (TPCA) Members Art Show is opening on June 7th from 7:00pm -10:00pm with gallery hours Saturdays, June 8th through the 29th from 10:00am to 2:00pm.

It’s a great way to join in the celebration.

This annual exhibition of the creative works of TPCA members presents both professional and emerging artists, highlighting the art center’s commitment to fostering a community of support for artists of all levels.

The opening is free for members, and guests are asked for a $10 donation.

Live music featuring Gareth Kerr and his contemporary twist to classical guitar builds the atmosphere where artists like Corrine Doyle will share their work and inspiration.

“I love working with clay because there are no limits to where it can take you. I’m able to express myself through both the forms and the glazes. Clay is a gift from nature,” says Corrine, who is a beloved instructor at Earth Center Pottery (ECP).

Attendees will also have the chance to get to know Angela Tong who creates and instructs at the ECP studio.

She is a Chinese American artist that works in clay and fiber. Her attention to detail is evident in all the mediums that she works in.

Membership is not a requirement to take part in classes, workshops, summer camps or to attend Crafts in the Meadow, which is held annually on the third weekend of October.

Members do get free entry to the shows and discounts for TPCA workshops and Summer Arts Camps for kids ages 9 to 16, in addition to the knowledge that they are supporting a growing, diverse educational arts organization in their community.
