Cooler evenings with sounds of late summer crickets signal the coming of fall, free Community Day on Sunday, September 10th from 1:00-4:00pm, and the much-anticipated Fall Tyler Fine Art and Craft show Saturday and Sunday, October 21st and 22nd.
Tyler Park Center for the Arts transforms for Crafts in the Meadow from a warm and welcoming place to meet and explore workshops and classes in a multitude of artistic modalities to a Festival sparkling with beautiful artwork and talented artists.
Expect big-top style tents, welcoming booth spaces in the iconic barn, over 140 artists and crafts people, demonstrations by potters, fine artists, basketry, wood workers, jewelers and more. A magical atmosphere permeates the weekend when exceptional works of art are shared by makers coming together to wow, entertain, offer gift ideas and revel in the beauty of Bucks County.
Tyler Park Center for the Arts is a non-profit art center nestled in the heart of Tyler State Park boasting 1800 acres of hiking, biking, walking and exploration. The space comes alive with musical entertainment featuring Little Red Rooster Blues Band, The Jim Borthwick Band, Slim and the Percolators, Gypsy Stew and “Straight from Bourbon Street” New Orleans jazz.
The offerings are beautiful, with Wearable Fiber Art, Home Decor, Glass, Garden Art and Pottery filling the Tyler Barn and surrounding meadows at this highly juried event. Think holiday gifts of artwork that are unique and exemplify excellence in craftsmanship.
Patrons will be intrigued by the Wood Fired Kiln opening and meet miniature horses and pot belly pigs who paint! Strolling through the show, patrons come upon Kids Craft booths and community hands-on group pottery projects nestled among the large-scale sculpture exhibits.
