I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – Presentation matters, even in this market

Consider this quote from Move.com…“Buyers are encouraged (and rightfully so) to focus more on the “bones” of a house than it’s interior aesthetics. That can be tough to do when clutter, outdated furniture, and loads of personal items attached to the current owners are on display in the listing pictures and during showings.

As a seller, you have a lot to gain from making it easier on the buyer to see the true potential of a space – and to do it, you’re going to need to stage.” The numbers are hard to argue with.

According to findings by the National Association of Realtors (NAR), homes that undergo the staging process tend to be acquired a staggering 73% faster compared to their un-staged counterparts. Furthermore, the Real Estate Staging Association (RESA) substantiates that staged homes secure sale prices that can surge up to 10% higher than those devoid of staging.

The correlation between staging and a quicker sale at a higher number makes staging something worth considering. If you’re considering selling your home, it’s never to early to start preparing.

Once you’ve done the decluttering, fixing, landscaping, and cleaning, THEN it’s time to bring in a stager. Today’s buyers don’t want four walls, they want an emotional connection.

Staging transforms a house into a canvas of future memories – think holiday gatherings, birthday barbeques, and lazy Sunday mornings. It’s the stuff dreams are made of, and buyers are not only buying into it, they’re paying top dollar for it.

There’s no doubt about it, selling a home is a process, one I’d be honored to guide you through. Don’t forget to e-mail Lynne@LynneKelleher.com if you’d like the outline How To Get Your Home Ready To Sell.
