On Saturday, December 2nd, Morrisville Borough welcomed the holidays with the 2023 Morrisville Winterfest Parade. The Winterfest Court (Miss Winterfest, Mackenzie Muckin; Junior Miss Winterfest, Olivia Muckin; Little Miss Winterfest, Aubrey Lynne Wilson; Mister Winterfest, Hunter Covert) and Morrisville’s new Mayor, Gary Wallace, led the parade and the many participants through Morrisville’s streets tossing candy to the town’s residents.
The smiles and joy on the faces of Morrisville’s children, as Santa ended the parade, were a pleasure to see.
I would like to extend my appreciation to Steve Bivins of Hot Rides for once again sponsoring the parade. Thank you to Pastor Mario of Temple Christian Jireh Church for giving us the use of the church parking lot to line up.
Thank you to Erica Foraker, Keller Williams Real Estate, for donating hot chocolate and coffee to the participants while lining up. Thank you to the Morrisville Police Department, the Morrisville Fire Company and the Morrisville Borough Workers for keeping everyone safe and protected during the parade.
Thank you to Councilman Bob Perry and his wife, Cindy, for their generous donation of gift cards to the Winterfest Court. Thank you to Cassandra Andujar, Italian Rican Creations for the beautiful sashes for the Winterfest Court!
Thank you to the many residents and organizations who donated all the candy to be tossed to residents.
I also want to thank Morrisville Borough Council for giving me the opportunity to organize the parade, because all of you that know me, know that “I LOVE A PARADE.”
It has been my pleasure and I am looking forward to next year’s parade already.
