Join us for a peaceful spring bird walk through our Quakertown Swamp Preserve, a property owned and protected by a conservation easement held by Heritage Conservancy. This special opportunity is exclusively available to supporters of Heritage Conservancy (members at the $50 level and above). Normally closed to [human] visitors, the swamp is a haven for wildlife species. This is the perfect time of year to see a wide variety of birds, many of which have migrated all the way from South America!
Our knowledgeable guide, Sebastian Harris, a Conservation Easement Steward at Heritage Conservancy, will lead a guided hike through the preserve, pointing out various bird species and explaining why Quakertown Swamp is so critical for their preservation. Please keep in mind that the terrain will be a bit muddy, so it is recommended to wear waterproof boots or shoes, if possible.
Guests should arrive between 8:45 – 8:50 AM
The walk will begin at 9:00 AM
