Kevin Treiber awarded the War Service Medal

The Washington Crossing Chapter Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) has awarded the SAR War Service Medal to Compatriot Kevin Treiber of Yardley.

The award is given in grateful recognition for service to the armed forces during an armed conflict.

The medal, with a Southwest Asia Service bar and certificate, was awarded by Chapter Veteran Committee Chairman Bill Hampton at a dinner meeting in Yardley on February 13th. Compatriot Treiber was recognized specifically for his honorable service in the United States Army during Operation Desert Storm.

Compatriot Treiber served as a jump-qualified combat medic and was awarded the Southwest Asia Service Medal.

He served for two tours in the Persian Gulf War, performing critical medevac duties. He served in active duty from 1989-1993 and in the Reserves from 1993-1997.
