Providing expert training to officials throughout the region

American Chimney, owned and operated by Matt Halper, has been in business for over 30 years. His company provides chimney inspection, cleaning and renovation services to over 30,000 customers in and around Bucks County.

While many are familiar with the American Chimney name and reputation, most people are unaware that Matt also provides training to building officials throughout Pennsylvania and has been doing so for over 20 years.

He provides courses to building officials, fire marshals, township code inspectors, fire rescue, engineers, and other code officials and inspectors.

Matt has always offered to serve his communities to bring awareness to the potential dangers of chimney systems and the need to inspect, maintain, and install systems to ensure families and homes are safe.

He has appeared on numerous news programs and has even served as a consultant to DIY network shows as a chimney expert for some of their programing.

Matt has also been the tri-state expert in industrial chimney stack examination and renovation for almost 30 years. He has worked with many engineering firms in the area documenting and maintaining chimney stacks for many of the top cell companies in the country.

Matt advises many of the Philadelphia schools and city infrastructure buildings on chimney needs as well as a variety of large corporations both public and private. He has also maintained and repaired some of the oldest chimneys in the nation including Washington Crossing State Park and other historical dwellings throughout the Philadelphia area.
