Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic has announced that Angel McCullough, DNP, RN, MBA, CCRN, NEA-BC, FACHE, has been named chief nursing officer of St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne, and Nazareth Hospital in Philadelphia.

As CNO, Angel is responsible for providing clinical and administrative nursing leadership at both hospital campuses, overseeing planning, directing, monitoring and evaluating safe, high-quality patient care across the continuum.

“I, along with the entire nursing staff of St. Mary Medical Center and Nazareth Hospital, are thrilled to welcome Angel, who brings extensive clinical experience, a love for the nursing profession and an authentic, transparent and servant leadership style to our organization,” said Michael Magro, DO, MBA, FACOI, president of St. Mary Medical Center and Nazareth Hospital. “I am confident that she will lead our nurses forward at both campuses to advance clinical practice and patient care for all those we serve.”

McCullough joins Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic from Jefferson Health System in Philadelphia, where she spent two-and-a-half years in senior nursing leadership roles, most recently serving as senior director of Nursing Operations and Patient Care Services. Prior to her time at Jefferson, Angel held nursing leadership roles at Penn Medicine in Philadelphia, Crozer Health in Upland, PA, Maxim Healthcare Services in Bala Cynwyd, and Mercy Suburban Hospital in Norristown.

Angel earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from West Chester University, a Master of Business Administration from Eastern University in St. Davids, PA, a Master of Science in Nursing from LaSalle University in Philadelphia and a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Walden University in Baltimore.

She succeeds Monica Eckhardt, MSN, who is retiring from her position as CNO of St. Mary Medical Center and Nazareth Hospital after more than 35 years with the organization.
