Bucks County Treasurer Kris Ballerini announces re-election campaign

Bucks County Treasurer Kris Ballerini is seeking another term to safeguard your tax dollars.

Elected in 2020 alongside Commissioners Bob Harvie, Jr. and Diane Marseglia, Kris came to the county with 13 years of banking experience on her resume.

She was elected as a township supervisor in Upper Makefield Township is 2017. “I have managed my office with a philosophy of doing more efficiently with less cost to the bottom line. I have been successful my entire term thus far to remain under budget in my department operations.”

One of the large goals she had in mind from the start was to seek out a competitive pricing comparison for the county banking services.

    This has never been done.

“I’m a firm believer in best business practices being adhered to. The banking relationship is a pretty critical piece of business that should have been examined by prior administrations. I am so happy that we drafted a comprehensive RFP (request for proposal) and have put forth a recommendation to the commissioners as to who we should do business with. We are in final legal negotiations and I look forward to announcing soon who we will partner with.” In addition to this, Kris returned $100k in unclaimed funds that belonged to the county some of which dated back to 1976. She also is on target to bring in 1.7 million dollars in interest earnings which will go directly to the general fund. Primary day is May 16th, 2023 with a General Election on November 7th, 2023.
