Valentine Arefyev was recognized as Student of the Month for November by the Feasterville Rotary Club at its meeting on November 7, 2024 at Erwin’s Country Kitchen. He was introduced to the Rotary by Kaitlyn Fala, Bucks County Technical High School (BCTHS) counselor.
Valentine is a senior at the BCTHS. He is currently studying Computer Maintenance & Networking Technology. Valentine excels academically and is currently ranked 8 out of 323 students.
Valentine has challenged himself academically by taking AP and honor level classes since his freshman year at BCTHS.
He is a responsible student that balances his academic and technical education, while participating in the BCTHS Co-op program and working outside of school. Valentine has plans to continue his education in business after graduation.
Swasti Shinde was recognized as Student of the Month for November by the Feasterville Rotary Club at its meeting on November 14, 2024 at Erwin’s Country Kitchen. She lives in Feasterville with her parents, Deepak and Sulabha Shinde, her sister, Anusha (22 and at college), and brother, 13-year-old brother, Anitya.
She has attended Neshaminy Schools for 9 1/2 years, and her GPA is 4.5. Swasti was introduced to the Rotary by Mrs. Bobbi Cimochowski, Grade 12 Assistant Principal at Neshaminy High School.

Her Senior courses include AP Calculus BC, AP Physics C: Mechanics, AP Physics C: Electricity, AP Psychology, AP Spanish Language and Culture, AP English Literature and Composition, and Symphony Strings Orchestra.
At school, she’s a member of Future Problem Solvers, the Debate Team, the Environmental Club, Interact and orchestra.
Swasti is also a member of National Honor Society, World Language Honor Society, placed first at Future Problem Solvers State Competition, qualified and competed at Future Problem Solvers International Competition (top 3% in the world), and her name appears on the Distinguished Honor Roll.
Outside of school, she volunteers as a math tutor for elementary school students and enjoys piano, sketching & painting, hiking, travelling and reading.
Swasti will enter a 5-year combined bachelor’s and master’s degree program in an engineering field and plans to study abroad. She is not yet sure of her career, but wants it to incorporate helping people and travelling the world.
