‘Strolling for Service Dogs’ Dog Walk event

Nicky Christopher, a 10th-grader at Pennsbury High School (and AKA Birthday Lawn Bandit), along with other PHS students volunteer every year for the Strolling For Service Dogs Dog Walk benefitting Alpha Bravo Canine, an organization that raises, trains and donates service dogs to US Veterans suffering from PTSD and TBIs (traumatic brain injuries).

The event will be held this year on Saturday, April 20th from 11:00am-3:00pm at 911 Memorial Park, Garden of Reflection in Yardley.

Last year, they raised over $29,000 (and over $50,000 since starting this event annually), which covered the cost of training one of the service dogs, with some left over.

The last service dog in training (SDIT), Scotty, named after a Veteran who died by suicide, was matched to his Veteran soon after the event.

There will be door prizes and giveaways, raffles, Kona truck, vendors, puppy kissing booths, face painting, doggie balloons, and stuffed puppies/kittens that can be adopted from their ABC pound to walk with attendees if they don’t have a dog for the walk.
