CHECK OUT THE NEW BUCKSBLOGSPOT. HELP FOR BUCKS COUNTY BUSINESSES AND ECONOMIC RECOVERY – BUCKSBLOGSPOT

YHA Open House is June 11th

Discover what is in the Old Library by Lake Afton at the Yardley Historical Association Open House and Annual Meeting. The gathering will be held on Sunday, June 11th from 4:00 to 6:00pm, at the Old Library by Lake Afton, 46 W. Afton Avenue.

This year fascinating and often astounding photographs and documents have been discovered while work is being undertaken to better organize the Association’s collection of materials related to Yardley’s past. Handmade scrapbooks, a high school autograph book with funny rhymes written in lovely cursive, photographs of disasters and places now gone, letters, and maps will be on display.

The Annual Meeting of the Yardley Historical Association will also be held during the final hour. A short report of 2022 accomplishments will be given and Board members and officers elected.

Wine, cheese and goodies will accompany the business.  The public is welcome to attend to see pieces of Yardley’s past and find out about the Old Library and the work of the Historical Association. Reservations are not needed.

The Yardley Historical Association preserves, maintains, and shares the Old Library by Lake Afton and its collections of books, documents, and ephemera related to Yardley’s history. The community is welcome to come to explore, discover, and have fun.

For more information about the Association’s activities, visit www.yardleyhistory.org, e-mail info@yardleyhistory.org or call 215-208-1154.
