With over 10 years in healthcare and working in the operating room, on a medical surgical unit, emergency room, addiction medicine, and currently in an acute inpatient rehab facility, Michael has seen many people treated with conventional medicine.
He realized that patients needed more guidance and education when it came to modifying their lifestyles and the benefits these changes have on their well-being.
Michael explained “80% of conditions I saw could have been prevented. If a person is hypertensive or diabetic, there is certainly a need for medication, it can be lifesaving but it’s not fixing what is causing the problem in the first place in many cases”. He added “A lifestyle change can help get yourself back to a much healthier state.”
The three main things PPC will help you with is to get moving, eating healthier, and finding a balance in your life to combat stress.
“There is no shame in needing help”, says Michael. “With so much different and sometimes conflicting information to choose from, it can be overwhelming at times.”
He explained that sometimes making these changes on your own can be difficult but it is no reason to give up. Some of the many services offered at PPC are dietary consultation and planning with a registered dietitian, yoga classes, massage therapy, and exercise classes.
