Morrisville on the move!

Save the date: May 20th, 9:00am-1:30pm, the Morrisville Business Association (MBA) and local vintage car club British Cars of Bucks County is putting on its Second Annual Bridge Street Car Show! The MBA will be closing Bridge Street between Delmorr Avenue and S. Pennsylvania Avenue for an old-style show featuring vintage American and European imported cars, jeeps and trucks.

This is a car show with a different goal. Yes, there will be some lovely cars being shown. Who doesn’t like an XKE Roadster or a classic Corvette, or the chance to chat with the driver/owner about the cars you owned ‘back in the day?’

That’s the draw the MBA hopes will bring you to Morrisville. But what the MBA plans to emphasize is how Morrisville is finally on an upswing. Under the leadership of Third Ward Councilman and MBA president Andrew Lubin, he and Ms. Jane Burger have almost doubled the MBA’s membership in the past nine months.

From the pre-Covid stalwarts like Ben’s Deli, Avanti Benefits, Non Solo Pasta, Jags Barbershop, Cunningham’s Hardware, and Snipes Farm & Education Center, new members Concerto Fusion, Skyking Fireworks, Hot Rides, Yardley Beer Co., ATT, Sarah Elizabeth’s, Hair Salon, Ashlynn Distillery, and Bitchin’ Kitten Brewery understand they are stakeholders in Morrisville’s success.

They are all actively supporting the show by sponsoring trophies for different classes of cars, assisting in promotion, and otherwise helping get the word out in order to attract both participants and spectators.

Morrisville Council President Bob Paul commented, “Our community fully supports the MBA’s efforts to promote Morrisville as more than a pass-through town.” A successful car show, in which the residents can get up close to the cars and chat with the drivers/owners, while supporting the Bridge Street merchants, will be an important step in the process.

We’ll see you on Bridge Street!
