submitted by Kathleen Horwatt

Langhorne Rotary Club recently recognized Collin Cloud, of Neshaminy High School, as the February Student of the Month and Lucas Kilodziej, senior at Bucks County Technical High School, as the March Student of the Month. Collin is the son of Chris and Kathy Cloud and was introduced to the Rotary by his grade twelve Assistant Principal, Colin Trickel. After high school Collin plans to attend college to study to become a physician’s assistant.

Also at this meeting, new member Rotarian Alexis Cordero gave her classification speech as a researcher in drug development. The March 2nd meeting of Langhorne Rotary was held at the Tech School with a tremendous lunch prepared by the students.  Lucas Kilodziej was joined by his father, Kris Kolodzief, and Counselor Angela Pontist.

Lucas is majoring in Multimedia and is a talented videographer with a short film in a statewide competition. Lucas plans to continue with post-secondary education in this field, having already earned scholarships.

Upcoming Rotary events include collecting blankets, slippers and reading material for the residents of the Statesman Nursing Home, and plans for the Reverse Raffle fundraiser to be held on May 19th.

The club is raising money for local needs, scholarships, and improvements to the Rotary Electronic Sign. The Langhorne Rotary meets on the first and third Thursdays of each month at 12:15pm until 1:30.
