Prep: 20 minutes
Air Fry: 20 minutes
Serves: 8
1 1/2 cups coarsely crushed turkey stuffing flavored potato chips
1 1/2 cups panko breadcrumbs
1 teaspoon coarsely chopped fresh sage
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cups unsweetened cashew milk
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon paprika
2 medium Vidalia onions, cut crosswise into 1/2-inch-thick slices and separated
- Preheat oven to 300°; line rimmed baking pan with parchment paper. In food processor, pulse chips, breadcrumbs, sage, 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper until small crumbs remain; transfer to wide, shallow dish. Makes about 3 cups.
- Place flour in separate wide, shallow dish. In third wide, shallow dish, whisk milk, garlic powder and paprika. Dip onions in flour to coat, then dip in milk mixture, allowing excess to drip off, then chip mixture to coat, pressing lightly so chip mixture adheres; place on prepared pan and spray both sides with cooking spray.
- Preheat 3-quart or larger air fryer to 400° for 5 minutes. In batches, air fry onions 5 minutes or until golden brown and crisp, turning once; transfer to separate rimmed baking pan and keep warm in oven while air frying remaining batches. Makes about 40 onion rings.
