New year at the Free Library of Northampton Township

One of the library’s missions is to encourage and facilitate lifelong learning for all ages.

Sometimes we accomplish this with programs, other times with library materials. See what we have to offer this beginning of 2023!

For adults, we have a program on Monday, January 30th at 6:00pm, and it features author Martha Beck with her book “The Way of Integrity.”  Bestselling author and life coach, Martha Beck explains why integrity is the key to a meaningful and joyful life.

To reserve a seat, visit the Newtown Book Shop at www.newtownbookshop.com. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Free Library of Northampton Township.

Lifelong learning continues with all of our library materials, but nothing gets one into learning than The Great Courses. In the stacks, the library has The Great Courses in audio (CD) and in video (DVD) with each format accompanied by a course book.

Digitally, The Great Courses can be accessed on both Hoopla and Kanopy as streaming video.  Learning for children is vital.

Along with the library’s books and our educational computer stations, the programs offered at the library get the children thinking! Hone your reading skills on Saturday, February 4th at 11:00am, with the Nor’ Wester Therapy Dogs.

Join us for “math-tastic” adventures with “Math-ternoon” on Thursday, January 26th at 4:30pm, for grades 3-5, and on Thursday, February 9th at 4:30pm, for grades K-2.

Now is the time to register for the Children’s Book Clubs – Milk & Cookies; Book Bunch; and Teen Reads. Visit the library’s website for links to register:
