CHECK OUT THE NEW BUCKSBLOGSPOT. HELP FOR BUCKS COUNTY BUSINESSES AND ECONOMIC RECOVERY – BUCKSBLOGSPOT

A call for volunteers

The Playwicki Farm Foundation recently held a volunteer recognition event to thank its volunteers for their service throughout 2022 and to try to attract more people to volunteer at the 110-acre historic farm located a 2350 Bridgetown Pike in Feasterville-Trevose.

Pictured here at the event are volunteers (from left) Skyler Olson, Michaele Johnson, Gretchen Samuels, Connie Singer and Stu Freeman, a foundation board member and volunteer director. (absent from photo are volunteers Amy Gordon, Charlotte Eliason, Tom Hartsfield).

Freeman says he is looking for people to help with gardening, special event set ups and take downs, trail maintenance, farm foundation booth set up and take down, people to direct crowds during events and those with decorating skills.

Also, he has a need for people with special skills in fund raising and grant writing, website design and maintenance, museum layout, architecture, stone masonry and structural engineering. Anyone interested in volunteering may contact Freeman at 267-241-3954 or e-mail Playwicki.farm.foundation@gmail.com.

The Playwicki Farm Foundation was created in September of 1996 as an independent 501 (c)3 nonprofit tax-exempt corporation to raise money for the maintenance and preservation of the Playwicki Farm, the development of educational programs, other events and activities and to support the operation of the foundation.

The mission is to protect and promote Playwicki Farm as a unique natural, cultural and recreational resource.

The Farm Foundation may also be reached at 215-373-7300, extension 340.
