Breezy Point (BP) is a preschool and summer camp that has been serving families in the community since 1955. At BP, learning takes place both inside and outside of the classroom.
Our curriculum includes mathematics, reading, writing, art, science, and cultural studies, but it can be argued that one of the most important parts of a child’s day is the time spent with other children engaging in outdoor and creative play. Breezy Pointers have nine different play areas to use during the school year.
A favorite for all ages is Breezy Town – a child-sized village that includes a bed and breakfast, market, workshop, fire house, post office, and schoolhouse. Children use their imagination to pretend they are store clerks, teachers, firefighters, and more.
The students have especially been enjoying the newest addition to the grounds, Swings ‘N Things, as they test out the various types of swings and climb to the top of the climbing gym. Children improve their gross motor skills as they propel themselves on scooters and Cozy Coops at Crazy Cars, and have space to run and play sports games on our fields and at the Sports Court.
Students at Breezy Point get the best of both worlds: an enriching classroom environment and seven acres of outdoor space to explore. If you are interested in taking a tour to see the learning that takes place in our beautiful classrooms and at our unique play spaces, please call the office at 215-752-1987.
