The Abington Lines Model Railroad Club is hosting Open Houses for the holidays and beyond, to be held at their clubhouse in Richboro.
Each Open House is scheduled from noon to 4:00pm on the following Saturdays and Sundays: December 10th and 11th, December 226th (Monday) and 31st, January 7th and 8th, January 14th and 15th, February 4th and 5th, and February 11th and 12th.
Come marvel at the 20’ x 60’ HO scale railroad set in the Pennsylvania mountains with a two-track mainline that is more than 1,000 feet in length. The layout includes a circus display, two operating roundhouses, a narrow-gauge branch line, waterfront complete with rail car ferries, four industrial switching areas and a picturesque old-time town with stores that have realistic interiors, animated neon signs and trolleys that run the whole length of the city. Operating scale locomotives with realistic sound and wireless remote control will be featured.
Admission to the Open House is free. Donations to help the club grow and improve are appreciated. In addition, two complete train sets will be offered for raffle ($1 per ticket).
The clubhouse is located at 2066 Second Street Pike (PA Route 232), Richboro, PA 18954, two miles north of PA Route 332, on the right, across the road from “Bryan’s Farm,” just before the Neshaminy Creek.
