If you’ve ever wondered whether dance is right for you or your child, Eileen’s Academy of Dance makes it easy to find out. It could launch a life-long passion for music, movement, community, accomplishment and fun. EAOD – under new ownership and management – is still accepting students. Call today to discuss joining a trial class.
The owner, Courtney Christian, began dancing at Eileen’s Academy of Dance as a child, and has now purchased her “home studio”, located at 980 Trenton Road, Suite 1 in Fairless Hills (in the Cosmos Restaurant and Bar shopping center).
Christian has spent many years mastering ballet and pointe techniques and kept her dance momentum going as an instructor. “I grew up dancing here,” she said. “Owning the dance studio is the next stage for me. I envision a studio of strong technique, inclusivity, body positivity and community.”
To ensure personalized attention and success, classes are limited to 10 students. “You’re not lost in the crowd,” said Christian. “Everyone knows each other so well. Each dancer gets one-on-one attention from each of our instructors, which helps them progress.”
In addition to running the business, Christian teaches several classes. Along with five other instructors, the academy offers lessons starting at 2-year-olds with Parents and Tiny Human Dance classes. Independent combo classes start at 3 and classes continue through adult level. The dance classes for adults, are available in all styles as well as fitness, wedding and private dance lessons.
The 42-year-old dance establishment prides itself on offering a “body positive” environment where all dancers thrive. Whether this is your first time taking a dance class or you’re returning to your love of dance, you will find the classes you want.
“If you can walk, you can dance,” is Christian’s motto. “Anyone can dance. Dancing is about learning and having fun.”
