Pine2Pink takes over Bucks County this October to benefit the breast cancer community

The Pine2Pink Foundation 501(c)3, the experience-based, community-driven non-profit dedicated to local breast cancer patients has announced the launch of its fifth year. The 2022 fundraising season runs through the month of October.

The non-profit has had tremendous success uniting Bucks County residents and the business community through inventive ways to raise funds that directly support LOCAL breast cancer patients in treatment and recovery. The beneficiaries of this year’s fundraising efforts will be Bucks County breast cancer patients cared for at Fox Chase Cancer Center in Buckingham, Grand View Hospital, Doylestown Health, and Kin Wellness and Support Center.

Pine2Pink offers people multiple ways to get involved and participate in fun and engaging ways. Thousands of lights will turn pink from streetlamps to storefronts, museums, municipal buildings, car dealerships, shopping malls and people’s homes. Street signs will be changed to ‘Pink Street’ in every area Pine2Pink is celebrated. Over 75 stores and restaurants will participate in the non-profit’s ‘Shop, Eat and Drink Pink’ program where special Pine2Pink items will be sold with a percentage of sales going to Pine2Pink. The Pine2Pink free app uses ‘augmented reality’ to create an interactive scavenger hunt, where over 150 pairs of wings will be hidden across Bucks County. Using smartphones people will capture the wings for 25 prizes including gift cards, experience-based prizes, signed hockey gear from the Flyers, and a $2,245 pair of earrings from Carroll Jewelers. This year Pine2Pink will either host or be the beneficiary of 20 events including:

The outpouring of support and dedication to raising funds for our local breast cancer patients through Pine2Pink has allowed us to help over 1000 local breast cancer patients in need. We are motivated to grow Pine2Pink thoughtfully in an effort to help as many people as possible. We are grateful to all who sponsor, donate, volunteer, and support our lofty mission.”

Pine2Pink launched in 2018 and has raised over a quarter of a million dollars and helped more than 1,000 local breast cancer patients.

To date, Pine2Pink has started and funded seven programs including home food delivery, purchase of infusion chairs, treatment transportation, patient financial out-of-pocket support, cold-capping, integrative services, and comfort bags for newly diagnosed patients.

The month-long program is designed to raise money that stays local and helps locals in treatment and recovery across Bucks County. Pine2Pink beneficiaries are Fox Chase Cancer Center of Buckingham, Grand View Hospital, Doylestown Hospital, and Kin Wellness and Support Center.
