CHECK OUT THE NEW BUCKSBLOGSPOT. HELP FOR BUCKS COUNTY BUSINESSES AND ECONOMIC RECOVERY – BUCKSBLOGSPOT

    Giving the gift of warmth

One Warm Scarf is an organization that reaches out each year to our homeless neighbors during the cold autumn and winter months. We are reaching out to you in our fifth year in the hope you will donate knitted and crocheted scarves.

Our mission is to provide warm scarves to homeless men in Philadelphia and the surrounding areas. Last year our volunteers gave generously of their time and donated over 545 scarves.

Our organization is in need of volunteers to knit or crochet scarves. We will also be collecting clean, gently-used men’s scarves. This year we will be donating to the following organizations: The Bethesda Project, The Allentown Rescue Mission, Saint John’s Hospice Homeless Shelter for Men and the Sunday Breakfast Rescue Mission (Philly House).

This year, One Warm Scarf is expanding our efforts. Some of the most requested items at any homeless shelter are new men’s undershirts and underwear. If you can participate on this level, the shelters suggest men’s sizes M, L and XL. Thank you in advance to those who donate these items.

We hope residents in Bucks County will spread the word to family, friends and neighbors to support this incredibly worthy cause.
