Paxson Hill Farm is a lesser-known gem sitting in the hills of New Hope. With an array of stunning walking gardens in different design styles, there is so much to explore! We also have a large, unique selection of plants in our nursery – some hard to find anywhere else. Paxson Hill is a truly special New Hope attraction. Driving in you’ll be greeted by our scenic preserved field of happy sheep and donkeys. We also offer free-range eggs, fresh produce, and seasonal collectibles. There is something for everyone to enjoy at Paxson Hill Farm, for the plant-enthusiast, animal lover, or gardener alike.
Since 1997 Paxson Hill Farm has been an ever-expanding passion project for its owner and designer, Bruce Gangawer. It has come a long way since its humble beginnings as an apple orchard and produce farm in the 1800s; now harboring many different animals like donkeys, sheep, chickens, peacocks and more! The walking gardens have also expanded into all available space, growing from one to a whole array to explore. Some of those gardens being our iconic zen garden, shade garden, temple garden, fairy garden, swamp garden, and more. Aside from the animals and gardens, our abundant nursery has much to offer. The nursery encompasses the large greenhouse, fish house with rare koi, and the large nursery field with a unique selection of plants, shrubs, and trees. Whether you are a plant enthusiast searching for a rare selection, or a beginner home gardener looking for pretty flowers, our nursery has plenty to offer.
