September is a spectacular month at the Free Library of Northampton Township

On September 11th, the library will resume Sunday hours. They will be open each Sunday from 1:00 – 5:00pm.

September is Library Card Sign up month. “The library is where your imagination sings. Get your library card and ‘check it out’ today.” says Cara Mentzel.  Apply for your library card in September and receive a ticket for a chance to win a prize donated by one of our community partners.

Join them on Saturday, September 10th, at 2:00pm, when Rick Spector presents “A Century of Movie Memories.” From the streets of Philadelphia to Hollywood Boulevard, Moviehouse Productions presents a tribute to 100 years of classic films and their impact on the great movie buffs. This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Free Library of Northampton Township. On Saturday, September 24th, at 2:00pm, celebrate the 300th Anniversary of Northampton Township by joining them for a fascinating overview of Northampton Township history. The program will cover early landowners, discuss the founding of the township, notable Northampton landmarks and historical figures, and even cover historic events of note such as the Rightley Murders.

This program is presented by Annie Halliday, the Library and Archives Manager of the Mercer Museum Research Library (operated by the Bucks County Historical Society) in Doylestown. She received her MLIS from Drexel University in Philadelphia. Previously, she has given lectures on the Doan gang of Bucks County, true crime in Bucks County, and the history of the Mercer Museum Research Library.
