On June 16th the Central Bucks Meals on Wheels organization gathered for their Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon. This year’s luncheon was of special significance as the organization is celebrating 50 years of providing meals to homebound individuals in the community. The organization successfully navigated through the pandemic despite the huge challenge of keeping both volunteers and meal recipients safe.
CB Meals on Wheels is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization with approximately 220 volunteers and close to 100 were present at the luncheon. The event provided the Board with an opportunity to extend their heartfelt thanks to those who enable the organization to serve the community. The attendees were happy to connect with fellow volunteers, share stories and listen to some “oldies” sung by a local quartet. The group is looking forward to another 50 years of service!
If you are interested in volunteering, are in need of meals, or if you would like to make a donation to the organization, please call 215-345-6065 or visit cbmealsonwheels.org.
