Why is PA Cyber a great experience for your family?
I attended PA Cyber for high school and graduated in 2007, and now my daughters are PA Cyber students. When I was a student, I loved the school’s flexibility and having the full support of the school’s staff. As one of the perks, I could take community college classes and earn credit toward both high school and college.
When COVID hit in 2020, Ryan and I considered homeschooling our daughters, but we felt PA Cyber was a better fit. I always say that PA Cyber is the best of both worlds. You get the perks of homeschooling and the flexibility of scheduling, but you get all the extra support, too.
It has been incredible for me to see how much the school has grown. When I was in high school, I thought there was a lot of opportunity at PA Cyber, and now there’s even more.
How would PA Cyber be great for other parents?
PA Cyber is a public charter school, so all the materials are provided free of cost. My daughters have received a laptop, textbooks, a printer, gym equipment, and more in the mail. They’re avid readers, and they love the PA Cyber Library. Having in-person events to attend has really been a perk. PA Cyber offers field trips, and the Regional Offices host in-person events such as ArtReach classes and career days. They also have clubs throughout the year, even in the summer. These extra activities help students hone in on their interests.
