Penn State Master Watershed Steward online Native Tree and Shrub Sale

The Penn State Master Watershed Steward volunteers of Bucks County are now accepting online orders for native trees and shrubs through Wednesday, August 31st, 2022. The third annual fundraiser offers 28 varieties of native trees and shrubs to order online and pick up at Warwick Memorial Park, Jamison, on Saturday, October 1st, 2022 – the perfect time for planting. Bucks County Master Watershed Steward volunteers will be on site to answer questions and safely load purchases into vehicles during pick-up time of 9:00am-1:00pm. All trees and shrubs must be ordered online. Plants will not be available for purchase at the pick-up location.

All trees and shrubs are native to Pennsylvania and sourced from a preeminent native plant nursery. Native trees and shrubs can be planted for privacy, foliage, shade, attracting pollinators, adding habitat, environmental value, or simply for beauty.  They can also help intercept and infiltrate stormwater, stabilize soils, and filter pollutants.

Quantities are limited. Ordering early guarantees the best selection. A list of available trees and plants, more information, and a link to the sale site can be found here:

Penn State Master Watershed Steward volunteers offer educational opportunities to the residents of Bucks County about good backyard conservation practices and watershed stewardship based on university research and recommendations.  Volunteers also collect citizen science data, organize clean ups, work on wildlife habitat, stream restoration projects and more.  The native tree and shrub sale is the program’s primary fundraiser.  Your purchase directly supports the environmental projects and educational outreach for the Penn State Master Watershed Stewards of Bucks County.

Trees and shrubs will be in #1, #2, or #3-gallon containers. Healthy specimens are guaranteed at pick-up. Due to variations in planting, site conditions, and care, no guarantee or refunds will be given after tree pick-up. Consider above and below-ground utilities and mature growth size when choosing a tree, and always call 811 before you dig.
