    Spotlight: Sohl Foot & Ankle

Take a good look at your toes. Do you have peeling skin between your toes? Is it hard to see the toe spaces on the outside of the foot?

Do you have ‘extra moist’ skin there no matter if you dry them or not? Is there any pain in there? If you answered yes to any of these questions, it’s time to call Sohl Foot & Ankle.

Let’s be clear, there is nothing normal about moist peeling skin anywhere on our bodies…including our feet. Skin fungus and/or bacteria can create this problem and if left untreated, serious foot infections can occur.

Fungus and bacteria are ubiquitous. These little critters are everywhere and most of the time, they live on our skin or in our bodies in perfect harmony with us.  But every now and then, the balance tilts toward these invisible microscopic organisms and things start to go a little crazy.

When this happens our skin usually shows us a sign, like redness, or peeling, or blisters…you get it. The takeaway is this: things should look normal, and when they don’t, it is time for Dr. Sohl to take a look.

If there is something out-of-whack, we can fix it. Most of the time there are easy ways to treat these issues before the worst outcomes occur.

If this situation sounds familiar or you have concern for a family member with this problem, please give us a call at Sohl Foot & Ankle at 267-699-3839. Don’t bury your head or feet in the sand if things don’t look good.

We would be honored to help.
