Legacy donors to the Village Improvement Association of Doylestown (VIA) attended a celebration in their honor on Wednesday, April 27th.
The breakfast was the inaugural donor recognition event for members of the VIA Legacy League.
Formed in July 2020, the Legacy League is comprised of individuals who have remembered the VIA through a donation in their estate plan. Due to limitations imposed by the pandemic, the event marked the first time this group has been honored.
The VIA has long been graced with the generosity of individuals who have considered the VIA as part of their estate plan.
The James-Lorah Memorial Home in Doylestown was an estate gift from a VIA founding member, Miss Sarah James. The new Legacy League derives inspiration from her gift and
the many others received by the organization over the years. “My donation to the VIA supports our Mission to help those in the community to give them a hand up rather than hand out,” said VIA President-Elect Helen Hammes.
