Local organizations from Morrisville have come together to tackle issues facing the community.
This Coalition, spearheaded by the Solid Rock Youth Center, has been working hard over the past year to determine risk factors present in the community, and of those factors, what the underlying causes are.
It was determined that low commitment to community pride was one of the major risk factors contributing to problem behaviors such as violence, substance abuse, low school attendance and high school dropout.
As a way to build back community pride, the Morrisville Community Coalition has collectively come up with several solutions to bring pride back into the community.
Of those projects, their starting point will be a community mural project.
The Morrisville Community Coalition is working to install several murals around town depicting what Morrisville means to its community members.
This project will not be successful without your help. We need your insight.
If you would like to help us determine what should go on these murals, please fill out a quick 5-minute survey at this link, www.solidrockyouthcenter.com/muralproject.
Additionally, if you would like to contribute financially to the project you will find instructions on donations at the mural project webpage.
This project is made possible by funding through the Bucks County Drug & Alcohol Commission, Inc.
