Spring is the perfect time to amend your soil.
Better soil equals better root growth and less run-off. Amending your soil promotes higher yields of flowers, vegetables and trees/shrubs.
The following are ideal products to amend your soil.
Many gardeners deal with poor soil conditions because it’s full of clay and rocks—this is where they may choose to grow their plants in raised beds.
The benefits of gardening in raised beds are numerous because you get to choose the soil.
This is where Coast of Maine’s Cast Blend Raised Bed Mix makes the ideal additive.
A blend of compost, peat, biochar, worm castings, dehydrated poultry manure, etc.—it’s OMRI listed (Organic Materials Review Institute).
For building soil, Master Nursery’s Bumper Crop Soil Builder is the ideal solution. It’s a blend of lobster shells, composted manure, worm castings kelp and peat and is fortified with beneficial fungi called mycorrhizae.
Also OMRI listed, this product builds soil, loosens clay and compacted soil, while improving planting texture and aeration. It can also help bind rocky or sandy soils to promote water retention.
