Spotlight: New Hope Celebrates

PrideFest coming to town May 20th to 22nd

“It’s just an invitation across the nation, A chance for folks to meet. There’ll be laughing, singing and music swinging, Dancing in the street.”- Martha and the Vandellas

Now is the time to dust off your dancing shoes and get ready to rejoice as New Hope Celebrates brings you their 2022 PrideFest on May 20th to May 22nd live!

In its 19th year, the sleepy river towns of New Hope and Lambertville will welcome all with “music swinging” and festivities for everyone.

The only Pride Parade to cross state lines will kick off in Lambertville, NJ on Saturday, May 21st and continue over the Delaware River into New Hope, PA displaying New Hope Celebrates’ very own 100-foot Equality Flag in eight colors.

With an annual attendance of over 15,000 and 700 participants, New Hope Celebrates brings back “Dancing in the Streets,” while celebrating diversity and inclusiveness.

Whether you are marching, in a vehicle or on a float, the Parade is open to everyone. Registration information and application can be found at: bit.ly/2022-Pride-Parade-Application.

After the Parade, come to the Pride Fair in the Legion parking lot on the corner of New Street and South Main Street from noon to 5:00pm.

With live entertainment and DJ, cash bar and a wide array of vendors featuring crafts, jewelry, and clothing, information from local LGBTQ+ organizations, samples, and giveaways, it is the perfect culmination of PrideFest!

There is a suggested $5 entrance fee with proceeds benefiting New Hope Celebrates and future Pride events. Pride Fair Vendors can find an application at: bit.ly/2022-Pride-Fair-Application.

If you plan to make a reservation to stay or just join in for the day, there will be a week-long celebration of educational events and festivities, including the annual New Hope Celebrates’ Cocktail Contest.

Put on those dancing shoes and your favorite tune, practice a few steps, and mark your calendar!
