CHECK OUT THE NEW BUCKSBLOGSPOT. HELP FOR BUCKS COUNTY BUSINESSES AND ECONOMIC RECOVERY – BUCKSBLOGSPOT

SPOTLIGHT: From graduation to job search and beyond

Local father daughter duo provide roadmap from graduation to workforce in new book

Young adults at the start of their careers as well as those who are motivated to advance in their jobs need guidance toward achieving success and satisfaction, not just in business but also in their personal lives.

In Grad To Grown-Up: 68 Tips To Excel In Your Personal And Professional Life, longtime Newtown resident and local businessman Gene Rice, co-founder and chairman at Rice Cohen International, and his daughter, Courtney Bejgrowicz, a high school English teacher at The George School, share tips garnered from Rice’s life and career.

They include insights from Rice’s experience placing over 1,000 job candidates and over fifteen years of mentoring interns.

Rice draws on his rags-to-riches background to show how drive and determination can push one to success. Each chapter includes commentary from Bejgrowicz.

With a freshness that adds to her father’s advice, she offers her unique, and often witty viewpoint to share a younger view as she relates following her father’s advice while forging her path into adulthood. Her humor, added tidbits, openness, and stories blend with her father’s more tactical instruction.

Published by Post Hill Press and distributed by Simon & Schuster, Grad To Grown-Up serves as a valuable handbook for graduating students about to enter the workforce for their first full-time job, and a wonderful book for parents and grandparents to gift those students and give them the seeds to success (especially with graduation season looming around the corner).

Want to ask Gene and Courtney the secrets of post-grad success in person?

Stop by the Newtown Bookshop 2835 S. Eagle Road on Wednesday, April 6th, at 6:30pm for their inaugural book signing.

100% of Gene’s proceeds from the sale of the book are donated to the Plant a Seed Foundation.

PHOTO CAP: The book is available for purchase on Amazon and Barnes and Noble.
