Bucks County-based male a cappella group Cordus Mundi will be proudly participating in the Lutheran Church of God’s Love (Newtown, PA) concert series, celebrating the church’s fiftieth anniversary, with a performance at the church on Sunday afternoon, March 20th at 3:00pm.
Cordus Mundi’s program will feature a collection of sacred and secular music from throughout Cordus’ repertoire, representing a wide variety of composers, styles, and eras. Composers contributing music to the performance include Pablo Casals, Franz Biebl, Richard Rodgers, Stephen Flaherty, Rosephanye Powell, Dominick DiOrio, Elizabeth Alexander, Harold Arlen, Paul Sjolund, Karen Marrolli, Andrae Crouch, Alice Parker, and more. The concert is made up predominantly of a cappella pieces, with a little bit of piano added into the mix.
Admission is free for this concert and all are welcome to attend – the entire concert series is made possible with support from the Henry & Ruth Pfister Performing Arts Fund as part of the church’s 50th anniversary commemoration. Current concert Covid protocol, subject to change, calls for audience members to be masked, with full vaccination strongly recommended.
