Spotlight: Snipes Farm Day Camp

In its 14th year

We are excited for the adventures ahead in our 2022 camp season!

What began as a handful of children all those years ago has grown into a beautiful community of families, campers, and staff.

Civic groups, congregations, businesses, and individuals contributed to the camp scholarship fund, donated games and equipment and helped with campus projects. We are so grateful for their support!

Energy and joy are found in every corner of the farm when camp begins with 80 acres to explore. On any given day campers spend time in the woods, the creek, the gardens, or the orchard picking berries, finding critters, and making discoveries.

Campers have fun and gain skills through caring for animals, cooking, art, and archery!

Farm Camp for children ages 5-12 is made up of four age groups who each have a bunk that is their home-away-from-home.

Here the day begins and ends, where games and crafts supplies are handy and where camp is enjoyed on rainy days.

The Camp Leadership Program (CLP’s) for youth ages 13-15 do team building, farm projects, culinary arts, leadership training and a weekly field trip.

We invite interested high schoolers ages 16-17 to apply to be Counselors-in-Training (CITs). CIT’s volunteer a minimum of two (2) weeks to bring care and energy to the camp program, to gain work skills and to have fun!

Returning staff is joined every year by new staff-teachers and college students who bring our program alive with their passion for working with children, for the outdoors, talents, and skills.

Consider applying to be a counselor to have an amazing summer on a farm with happy campers!
