Spotlight: Nazareth Academy High School

Nazareth Academy High School, the only private, Catholic high school for girls in Philadelphia, is hosting an Open House on Wednesday, April 27th.

This Open House gives prospective students and parents the opportunity to learn about everything Nazareth has to offer – academics, athletics, performing arts, extracurricular activities, community service, sisterhood, traditions, and more!

With a student to faculty ratio of 8:1 and an average class size of 15 students, Nazareth is dedicated to an individualized educational approach.

With a state-of-the-art Innovation Center and by offering more than 40 clubs, 12 athletic teams, and 10 performing arts groups, Nazareth empowers its students to develop their interests and become lifelong learners in a global society.

For seventh grade students, Nazareth will be hosting Shadow Days so that students can experience some of Nazareth’s freshman year classes. These Shadow Days provide a great way for seventh graders to meet some teachers and students and to see what it is like to be a Panda for a day! Shadow Days are available until May 2022.

The Innovation Center is the heart of Nazareth’s STREAM curriculum, which was recently ranked by Newsweek in the top 5,000 STEM high schools in the country.

In 2020, a new and specialized curriculum was developed and implemented for the Innovation Center and includes an elective for elective for upperclassmen called Principles of Engineering along with a Foundations of STEM course for freshmen.

Other courses across the STREAM curriculum use the main makerspace as needed for innovative projects in their individual content areas. Outside of the classroom, students involved in extracurricular activities such as Robotics and Rocketry make good use of the Innovation Center as well.

Nazareth invites you to check out its Innovation Center and more during its Spring Open House on April 27th!

Young women who attend Nazareth live out the school’s mission each day by embracing faith, family, and education as they are challenged to attain their full potential academically, spiritually, and personally.
