    Spotlight: Friends Village

Purposeful senior living in beautiful Newtown

Friends Village is a community for older adults in beautiful Newtown.

Built on Quaker values, we focus on purposeful living through community, wellness, and kindness.

This year, we adopted new mission and vision statements.

These new statements reflect recent research on positive aging which, happily, is aligned with our strengths.

Our new Mission is, “To foster purposeful living and social connectivity through a community of kindness.”

Our new Vision is, “To be a supportive and kind community that welcomes adults of diverse backgrounds where all members thrive and live enriched and purposeful lives.”

Research is clear that our social environment and engagement with life are key contributors to well-being. Daily social interactions and supportive relationships are important to maintaining cognitive, physical and emotional health.

Access to nature and beauty are known to contribute to healthier living. A physical home that is convenient and a pleasure to use makes life better.

Friends Village has two beautiful campuses, well-designed apartments, programming and an array of services to help our residents live fully.

Our new mission reflects a commitment to not only provide a safe home, but also to help our members thrive.

They enjoy their independence AND this kind and welcoming community. We’re all aging. Friends Village is a great place to age positively.

In fact, throughout the pandemic, Friends Village residents and team members have persevered together.

As a result, there has been only one case of COVID-19 among its residents.

Truly connection and kindness have made the Friends Village community stronger and safer.

Come see for yourself on March 17th.

Friends Village will host a St. Patty’s Day Open House at 2:00pm. Refreshments will be served. Be sure to stop in to meet residents and team members. Register by calling 215-968-3346 or visit www.fhvpa.org
