Meals on Wheels celebrates 50 years

Meals on Wheels of Central Bucks County is proud to have served the Central Bucks community for 50 years! Throughout this past half century, we have delivered over 1.5 million meals to our neighbors in need. We couldn’t have accomplished this amazing feat without the help and support of hundreds of dedicated volunteers.

We are proud of the service we provide and humbled by those who volunteer their time to make this milestone a reality.

Fifty years bring a lot of changes, and although our mission of delivering nutritious meals to our homebound neighbors hasn’t changed, our location has. Meals on Wheels currently operates out of the Central Bucks Senior Activity Center.

This new location allows us the space to grow our services in the hopes of serving even more neighbors in need.

If you are having trouble food shopping, preparing meals, or perhaps have recently undergone a medical procedure, Meals on Wheels is here to make sure you get a well-balanced meal delivered right to your door.

Our meals are prepared by a commercial caterer dedicated to providing high quality and nutritious food. Since Covid, new safety and sanitation procedures have been implemented for added protection. There is a very reasonable daily charge for the meals and there are no income limitations for participation.

Meals on Wheels of Central Bucks serves the communities of Doylestown, New Britain, Chalfont, Warrington, Warwick, Buckingham, Plumstead, New Hope, Solebury, Dublin, Bedminster, Hilltown, Tinicum and Nockamixon.

If you, or someone you know would benefit from a Meals on Wheels delivery, please contact our office at 215-345-6065 or visit our website at www.cbmealsonwheels.org.
