The Rotary Club of Shady Brook has changed its name to the Rotary Club of Middletown Township effective October 1st, 2021. However, its mission of “Service Above Self” and commitment to making the communities in which its members, their families and their neighbors reside better environments in which to live and work, has not changed.
Since its founding in 2006, the Club, through the dedicated efforts of its members, has raised and distributed more than $291,000 to charitable and needy programs, made over $85,000 of in-kind contributions and donated in excess of 13,500 hours to a wide variety of worthy and charitable causes and community service projects.
Looking to the future, the Club plans to place an even greater emphasis on helping to meet the needs of local (Middletown, Langhorne, Penndel, Hulmeville, Yardley, Lower Makefield, Newtown, Richboro and Morrisville) community, civic, youth and recreational organizations.
Over the years the Club’s members have generously volunteered their time and utilized the experiences, skills and contacts they’ve acquired over their lifetimes to support the Club’s many fundraising and service programs and initiatives to support health, veteran, educational and a variety of other important causes. And, with no rigid meeting requirements, each member is only asked to give of his or her time and resources as their individual circumstances permit.
Anyone interested in finding new ways to help others and give back to their community as well as any local organizations seeking a partner to help more effectively support their group’s needs are cordially invited to attend one the Club’s weekly Wednesday morning meetings or they can reach out to Fred Edelman (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Bob Morris (email@example.com) for more information on the Club and opportunities to work with and assist one another to pursue and achieve their respective goals.
