Homes built with stucco exteriors

Homes that have stucco exteriors sometimes have the problem of having mold and/or wood rot. This usually occurs when the stucco is not properly installed and water and/or moisture gets behind the stucco and rots out the wood over time and creating an environment for mold to grow.

Sometimes homes with stucco and can be viewed negatively and perceived as “harder to sell”! Homes with stucco can be sold with no problem if you get in front of the issue prior to listing your home. This can be accomplished by simply getting your stucco evaluated by a license stucco testing company.

If the stucco passes inspection, then you can provide a certification to a potential homebuyer prior to their making an offer.

If it does not pass inspection, you can take the necessary steps to remediate the stucco and prior to putting your home on the market. Either way, you can provide a potential buyer with peace of mind when considering making an offer on your home. Also, by being proactive you are eliminating any potential pitfalls during the home inspection phase.
