The check represented proceeds of the 46th Bucks County Designer House & Gardens event held earlier this year at Mearns Mill Manor in Ivyland.
The funds will benefit the Women’s Diagnostic Center at Doylestown Hospital, where they will have an immediate impact on the delivery of award-winning cancer care in the community.
Remaining proceeds from the 2021 Designer House will also benefit several VIA committees, including the VIA Welfare Fund ($20,000); Education Committee ($7,400); Women’s Scholarships ($4,000) Community Recognition and Response ($1,000) and Veterans Committee ($1,000).
Funds were also distributed for the maintenance of the James-Lorah Memorial Home, which serves as the VIA’s headquarters ($20,000).
