PA REAP continues to add schools to its roster of education employers

With nearly all schools welcoming students for fall 2021, the PA REAP (Regional Education Applicant Placement) education professionals continue to connect teachers, administrators, instructional support such as guidance counselors, librarians, psychologists and nurses, and support services with persons seeking positions in eastern and central Pennsylvania.

The COVID-19 pandemic has put a strain on standard education recruiting practices, and PA REAP has proven helpful in facilitating key job placements – for people looking for jobs and school districts, charter schools, private schools, parochial schools, and for education organizations seeking to find the best staff members for current job openings.

PA REAP has been so effective, in fact, that they are continually adding clients to their roster.

PA REAP is headed by three former school administrators: John Fraser, Jim Marchesani, and Jean Rollo.

Together they have more than 100 years of public education experience, including teaching in elementary schools, serving as school principals, heading Human Resources departments, working on boards of state education personnel organizations, consulting, and training in assessment and curriculum nationally.

Applicants seeking employment must complete a standard Pennsylvania application on the PA REAP website.

As applications are received, the database grows, and school districts can search for appropriate people to fill vacancies. For example, a recent search for hard-to-find Spanish teachers in the PA REAP database identified 73 PA-certified Spanish teachers who had filed their applications on PA REAP within the past year. Districts and schools that are members of PA REAP have access to those 73 applicants. More importantly applicants have their name and credentials in front of more than 240 PA REAP-identified employers. As an affiliate of the National School Applications Network, PA REAP offers the power of a network of opportunities beyond Pennsylvania for those interested in looking outside the commonwealth’s borders.

PA REAP provides expertise and a personal approach to the applicant recruitment market that other systems can’t match. This platform can play an instrumental role in matching potential employees to employers while saving time, money, and energy. With one completed application, PA REAP job applicants may apply to as many participating school districts as they choose. “We leave no stone unturned in order to ensure that when you use PA REAP you are able to select the job you want or the person you want from a choice of qualified applicants,” states Fraser.
