As part of its effort to raise funds for its 11th annual Coats For Kids Program, the Rotary Club of Feasterville is seeking donations from area businesses, organizations, and individuals, it was announced today.
According to Deborah Kaplan, President of the Rotary Club of Feasterville, “The service club raises the money for this charitable endeavor through its annual Spaghetti Dinner, but due to the pandemic health emergency the club has decided to cancel the dinner and move ahead with this alternative Coats For Kids fundraiser.”
“Our members are striving to replace the funds we usually raise from our annual dinner in order to continue to provide a significant number of winter coats for area children in need. Their ages range from preschool to the high school level,” Deborah relates. “A large number of our recipients attend Tawanka, Ferderbar and Poquessing schools. We are going to make every effort to assure that none of our Coats For Kids students are cold during the winter season,” she states. Throughout the last decade, the Feasterville Rotary has donated more than 1000 coats to area students.
“With that in mind, I’d like to invite everyone to join in support of this most worthwhile community benefit,” Deborah notes. “Also, everyone who makes a donation will have a chance to win a gift card to a local retail establishment. We will sincerely appreciate aid from our giving neighbors.” The deadline to donate is November 15th.
