As if the coming and going COVID restrictions aren’t hard enough to navigate, we now have to contend with the weird world involving the shortage of goods.
Although Royal Billiard prides itself in the fact that we are largely American made, there are, of course, items that simply must be imported. And getting these items is very challenging!
We frequently, and I mean daily, receive phone calls from vendors explaining that there is a container of goods sitting off of a port somewhere that may not get their turn to dock for weeks on end.
Meaning the items I need for my customers are a swim away from an American port but just can’t get in.
And then we have to deal with just unusual circumstances… like the chlorine factory that burnt down, leaving the world with green pools. And the freezing temperatures last winter that caused the manufacturing of foam for furniture to be waylaid.
Have you tried to order an appliance lately? Holy cow!
I actually found a place that had inventory of new washers and dryers but did not have workers to deliver them – I still had to wait six weeks to get them.
So my take-away is, don’t wait until November or December to order your holiday gifts!
Our goal as a company is to bring as much into stock as possible before the fall so that you won’t have to go without that fun new game!
Our inventory should be diverse and plentiful!
